Today, on International Women’s Day, the NHSA and the N8 Research Partnership are shining the spotlight on women across the North of England that are doing amazing things within the field of innovation.

For the third consecutive year, we have compiled a list of #NorthInnovationWomen, this year with the support of the N8 Research Partnership.

Over the last few weeks, we have called on our Twitter followers to use the hashtag #NorthInnovationWomen to recognise the excellence of female innovators working across the North.

We’re thrilled to reveal we have received more than 170 suggestions and we’re honoured to today publish the list of inspirational women – as recognised by friends, colleagues, and peers – across a range of innovative sectors.

The #NorthInnovationWomen campaign is all about promoting the work of women in innovation in our region, and presenting a showcase of role models to women and girls thinking of working in or studying the many sectors where innovation is key.
