National Centre for Hyperpolarised MRI:

A new £6.8m centre based across the Universities of Leeds and York will aim to transform diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from cancer, heart disease and musculoskeletal diseases.

Haematological Malignancy Research Network (HMRN):

Carries out routine linkage of diagnostic and prognostic data to information on outcome and treatment into haematological cancer.

York Health Economics Consortium:

This provides consultancy and research in health economics to the NHS and the pharmaceutical and health care industries. It combines rigorous research standards with efficient project delivery.

York Trials Unit:

York Trials Unit provides support and academic leadership for rigorous trial design, from a single service, such as telephone randomisation, through to all aspects of trial management via its research team.

The Centre for Immunology and Infection (CII):

The CII conducts research ranging from fundamental studies on the pathogenesis of infectious and non-infectious disease through to first-in-human clinical studies.

Centre for Chronic Diseases and Disorders (C2D2):

C2D2 is an institution-wide 'virtual centre' for coordinating, promoting, supporting and maximising the benefit of interdisciplinary research and research-linked activities in the area of chronic diseases and disorders.

York Computational Immunology Lab (YCIL):

Combining the insight and knowledge of immunologists, engineers, computer scientists and mathematicians, the YCIL investigates complex immune processes through computer simulations.

Centre for Hyperpolarisation in Magnetic Resonance (CHyM):

Research within CHyM focuses on the development and application of hyperpolarisation techniques for use in NMR and MRI.

Biological Physical Sciences Institute (BPSI):

The BPSI serves to stimulate and fund exciting new collaborative activities at the cutting-edge interface between the physical and life sciences.
