Every year, the NHSA in partnership with N8 Research Partnership, launches the joint ‘North Innovation Women’ campaign. The social media campaign encourages people to recommend women who are pushing the boundaries of innovation in their chosen fields to be included in our list of North Innovation Women, which we publish on International Women’s Day every year on March 8.

This year, we are introducing a new aspect to the campaign – Women in the Spotlight. We have interviewed 15 women in the North of England, making remarkable feats in their chosen sector, to help inspire others to nominate women as part of our #NorthInnovationWomen campaign.

Below are profiles of our interviews with these incredible women – from oncology to in vitro diagnostics, public health to physiotherapy, our Women in the Spotlight have shared with us why innovation in their sector matters.
