Who is this service for?
The NHSA seeks out partnerships with organisations that support an ecosystem of innovative HealthTech companies who can benefit from strategic advice on accessing the research and innovation system in the North of England. We only accept referrals from our partner organisations. This is because we work with our partners to match-make opportunities between the NHS and industry to ensure the best chance of success.

Dr Ben Martyn
Executive Lead for Investment and International Partnerships
Ben promotes the North internationally as a global research and innovation hub, to attract research and inward investment, find global solutions to unmet need in the NHS and develop international research partnerships. He also brokers links between the northern health and life sciences sector and investors. Prior to working at the NHSA Ben, who has a PhD in chemistry, worked for Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network supporting companies to access the NHS market.
Helen Cole
Executive Lead for Health Technologies and Evaluation
Helen began her career as a medical physicist in the NHS and over the past two decades has specialised in MedTech evaluation, working within the procurement, commissioning and NHS provider landscapes. Her last role was Head of an External Assessment Centre for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.
